Description:
Made in March of 1925 this is a pretty early #2, considering the model debuted in February of 1925. It has been repainted, but I love the color so I am ok with that. It is a great machine to type on. The carriage motor is a little weak on this one but it is easy to work around it. When I bought it via craigslist in Blacksburg, Virginia for $25 it was missing the spools and the case was damaged because neither the seller nor I knew how to engage the carriage lock (which makes the machine narrower when engaged). I stole some spools off a junk parts Remie I own and figured out the carriage lock and now this is a pretty sharp little machine! I had wanted a Remington with the typebars that lock upward for a while. See the link to my blog for a video of this.
Passed to another collector.
