Description:
I only list this here in order to help complete the record---without it, we won’t be able to catalog all 4 million of them that were built. It will soon disappear from the world of complete typewriters. So this is a record of the feature set and appearance of Remington #LX52209. Inoperative--there will be no type sample; it's roman pica, though.

While I find all of mankind's inventions interesting, I am most enchanted by the human-scale arts and devices, the ones that can be created (and repaired) in a home workshop or studio; the ones that can be understood by looking at them; the ones that do something useful or stir admiration. Typewriters work for me.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Remington 12 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Remington Serial Number page and the Remington 12 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
