Description:
This is a typewriter in a historical display at Camp Arcadia in Arcadia, Michigan. My family has been attending since the early 30s. Sadly not original to the camp but period accurate. Though part of a historical exhibit, it was not functioning, so I've recently revamped it so campers can experience it in action!

I started collecting in late 2024 but I have caught the bug in a big way. I already have dozens of typewriters, mostly the older varieties, from as early as the 1880s though the 1920s, some as late as the late 50s/early 60s. Most I'm restoring as best as I can, but I'm having some "fun" with a few. I have started a YouTube channel where I can share my experience of these restoration/other projects at https://youtube.com/@DynamicallyTyped
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Remington 12 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Remington Serial Number page and the Remington 12 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
