Description:
This Canadian Remington No. 1 bears a decal reading, "Made at Toronto, Canada." Other Canadian No. 1s have a "Made in U.S.A." on them (back of frame). So, are the serial numbers of the Canadian-made No. 1s synced with the American machines?
That said, I've never seen a No. 1 bearing any other label than "Made in the U.S.A.," so this machine is unique. Was it made in Canada? Or was it assembled in Canada or simply mislabeled? I'm inclined to think the latter. Anyone know of a Remington portable factory in Toronto in 1923?
