Description:
My parents surprised me with this typewriter not three days after I restored the other Corona 3. This one is a later version, but the real prize was snagging a vintage case! I am proud to say I replaced the drawstring myself and freed up the type bars enough so that it can be used...sort of.
The platen is in very bad shape and needs to be recovered. The feed rollers might need it too. It's not perfect, but it's on its way.
I like the smaller font. Must be 10 cpi.

I am a professional historian and writer. I have been collecting typewriters since 2013, and use them for all of my work (novels, short stories, poetry, non-fiction, and personal letters). I have a passion for all things antique, but hold a special place for these tools. Some of my collection is up for sale or trade, so if you see something you want, let me know!

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Corona 3 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Corona Serial Number page and the Corona 3 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
