Description:
I'm not sure what to make of this Continental. The typical black paint has been covered - shoddily - by what is best described as an olive-drab paint. The German keyboard has been modified to a QWERTY layout. If it could, I'm sure this standard would have a few interesting stories to tell.
No type sample yet - the machine is in desperate need of some work - but there's nothing special about its pica typeface.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Continental Standard on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Continental Serial Number page and the Continental Standard By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
