Description:
This machine had its origins in Sweden, but made its way to Norway at some point. This is quite normal to see here, especially for machines from 1920-1945. I am unsure whether this is because swedish people migrated to Norway at some point, or if Norwegians bought swedish machines. Both are equally possible. This machine belonged to a company based in Ludvika, Sweden and ultimately came to Norway. The family I bought this from had gotten it from some antiquity-store and had used it for decoration for some years before they decided they wanted it out. It was a bit gummed up and needed cleaning as well as a tightening of the mainspring, but after that this baby was eager to type again. It still has a slight smudging issue, but it is negliable.

I am a Norwegian fellow who enjoys tinkering and fixing up typewriters. One day I decided I wanted a typewriter to write letters on. I bought one that turned out not to work. I got annoyed and decided I should be able to figure out what was wrong and fix it. I did it, but the rush of successfully mending such an intricate machine was like a drug. I wanted more. I decided I would try to buy non-functioning, but pretty machines, fix them and sell them before repeating the process. What I didn't expect was that I would fall in love with the machines I fix so now I suddenly find myself a bit of a collector.
