Description:
This is a great little mechanical device. Too bad that the big old Corona company could not tolerate a little competition. I found this beauty in an antique store in Livonia, Michigan over a year ago. I still have not sat down to thoroughly clean it, nor have I changed the ribbon. I think I can improve the typing specimen with a little TLC. This will be the first machine I use this holiday season to type my first Christmas Letter. (T016)

I have always enjoyed tinkering with mechanical "things". For a number of years my wife wanted an IBM Selectric, The machine she used many years ago as a secretary. In 2020 we found one at an auction and bought it for $15. It took another $150 for the typewriter repairman to get it working. That turned out to be T001 in our collection. In the beginning we bought whatever we found. Now I am concentrating on the portables rather than the older office machines. The collection is getting large and it is time to start posting on TWDB.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Fox Portable 2 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Fox Serial Number page and the Fox Portable 2 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
