Description:
This Russian-language Century 10 typewriter is very sharp, and was purchased from the collection of Bob Aubert in Delran, NJ in July of 2024. It didn't take much cleaning to get it looking as nice as it is here. Such a weird little machine. And the limitations of a three-bank typewriter for the Russian language are apparent: not enough keys for all of the characters, so some characters are split atop the secondary shift for other characters, so typing it can be something of a nightmare. Plus, no question marks???

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Century 10 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Century Serial Number page and the Century 10 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
