Description:
A fascinating little folding Erika 2--direct imitation of the Corona folding machines, but with fun little details: the color-coded red/silver/blue springs underneath, the metal "kickstands" on the front inside of the frame to the left and right of the keyboard (which keeps the folded top from scratching the frame and keyboard), black-rimmed keys... fun! Though 1919 in Germany must've been a tough year for typewriter manufacturing, as the Great War was winding to a close, and not well for Germany. From the Bob Aubert collection, Delran, NJ: July 2023.
Oh! And note the note from the original owner...!

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Erika 2 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Erika Serial Number page and the Erika 2 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
