Description:
I got this around 2011. My dad fixed the mainspring for me and it works pretty well. A few of the keys print out of alignment but all and all it is not bad.
This machine is very unique to use and I am a fan of the three-bank, double shift keyboard.
The database says that up to 800000 is a 1919 I am about 90002 under this so I might be in the 1917 to 1918 range, but I am not 100% sure.

I started collecting typewriters several years ago and it started with a late 1960s Smith-Corona Sterling portable that I got as a gift.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Oliver 9 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Oliver Serial Number page and the Oliver 9 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
