Description:
[I do not own this typewriter; this entry in TWDB is added only as a sighting.] This Multiplex belonged to President Woodrow Wilson, who used the typewriter during his 1919 tour to gather support for the League of Nations. The typewriter is part of the White House Collection and is currently on display at the White House Visitor Center. You can view the typewriter in the Visitor Center, which is free and does not require a reservation.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Hammond Multiplex on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Hammond Serial Number page and the Hammond Multiplex By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
