Description:
This is an L-10 variation of the Oliver 9, sold for humid Latin American markets with a nice nickel finish (which is less suited to the environment than standard enamel but oh well). The nickel is in pretty good shape for its age and no pieces are missing except the Oliver branded pencil. This typewriter kicked around Mexico until the owner before myself imported it to Connecticut.in the 1970s.
Needs a good clean and fresh ribbon to work well, but it's a eye catching presentation piece at the moment. Despite having more interesting and unique typewriters in my collection (at least to me) this machine tends to be the first thing people see and what they get most excited about.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Oliver L-10 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Oliver Serial Number page and the Oliver L-10 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
