Description:
National Portables are just strange to me. They're not great typers, not well built, and maybe that's why there are so few of them around. Anyway, I've come into possession of a few, including this first-on-the-database National No. 2, with the oversized decal, which gives it a certain charm. This one came from the Clark Family Collection, and was purchased in Garden City, NY in September, 2024.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the National Portable 2 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the National Portable Serial Number page and the National Portable 2 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
