1914 Remington 11 Serial # 325254 1914 Remington 11 typewriter, Serial # 325254 Nathan S's 1914 Remington 11 typewriter. 2021-08-17 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Nathan S: 1914 Remington 11 Serial # 325254 This is a Remington 11 with a Wahl Adding Machine attachment. One of my friends found this machine about an hour and a half south of me on Craigslist, and figured that it would be worth the drive. This machine is complete except for the totalizers, which would tally the total input that the bottom half of the mechanism took from the number keys. The 1 key moves the output gear (the small one to the right of the center) one tooth, 2 two teeth, 3 three teeth, and so on. I hope to eventually make at least one reproduction totalizer, but for now, calculating will have to wait. The Wahl attachment has it's own serial number as well. It is number 14370.

Yes, those are dimes. They have nuts soldered to the back so they can screw onto the posts that were originally missing their tab keys. The dimes are more comfortable to use than the original keys.

I assume this attachment is for inputting numbers into a totalizer when you do not wish to print the numbers. This would probably be used to correct an error.

Here is a shot of (what's left of) the beautiful decals on the front.
