Description:
I am very proud to present my latest find: the oldest Triumph on TWDB. It was built in 1912 or 1913 and it is unfortunately in a bad condition. The platen and all the feed rollers are cracky, the mechanism has to be fixed and the keys are very filthy. The biggest problem is a part of cast iron, which broke on the transport. I think, I will try to glue it.
Is there anyone out there with experience in fixing cast iron? I am grateful for any advice!

Actually working with computers in my professional life I take the old mechanics as a compensation. I prefer machines manufactured before WWII, but I don't despise beautiful and good working typewriters from the fifties and sixties like e.g. the Olympia Splendid.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Triumph Triumph on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Triumph Serial Number page and the Triumph Triumph By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
