Description:
This is a very nice and functional Oliver 5 from the Bob Aubert collection. Judging by the pound symbol and the decals for the sales representative in London, this was an export to Britain. No idea how it came back stateside. Cleaning revealed some old attempts to re-paint parts of the base. At times it was difficult to tell what was original paint but dirty, versus newer paint. RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Oliver 5 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Oliver Serial Number page and the Oliver 5 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
