Description:
Early model of the Torpedo 5 with raised sheet-paper lettering. The machine is optically in good condition. It features the original torpedo ribbon spools. The typeface is Italics and technically the machine works very well.

Actually working with computers in my professional life I take the old mechanics as a compensation. I prefer machines manufactured before WWII, but I don't despise beautiful and good working typewriters from the fifties and sixties like e.g. the Olympia Splendid.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Torpedo 5 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Torpedo Serial Number page and the Torpedo 5 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
