Description:
Standard Folding No.2 made by the Standard Folding Typewriter Company of Groton, New York. It's easily identifiable by the single set of shift keys on the left side of the keyboard. It's predecessor, the No.1 model made by the Rose Typewriter Company, had two sets on either side of the space bar. The successor to this typewriter would be the Corona No.3.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Standard Folding 2 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Standard Folding Serial Number page and the Standard Folding 2 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
