Description:
I wasn't really looking for any more machines, but there's just something special about a "No. 1." This one came from Brookhaven, PA, in October of 2021, and was a seized-up, rusty mess when I got it. I asked the owner for background information on it, and all he could say was that he sold a tractor to a guy who was $100 short, so he threw this in to sweeten the deal. Okay.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the L.C. Smith 1 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the L.C. Smith Serial Number page and the L.C. Smith 1 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
