1903 Remington 7 Serial # 140,040 1903 Remington 7 typewriter, Serial # 140,040 Kenneth Kruschka's 1903 Remington 7 typewriter. 2019-03-30 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Kenneth Kruschka: 1903 Remington 7 Serial # 140,040 Bought this really just to swap a few parts with my other No.7, then just fix it and flip it locally. This had a broken wooden key-lever for the K key, I replaced it with one from a parts No.6 machine. Little things needed attention like: new feet; back rail for draw-band rest was on backwards; Steel draw-band was ready to break (put on my old one from other No.7); pegs for paper rest were detached so I adhered them with epoxy; replaced missing front indicator marker and screw; recovered feed rollers with new rubber. I am waiting on a ribbon to arrive yet. Update 3/30/2019 sold this typewriter to Bill Lund, from Tennessee. He needed a mainspring for a Royal 10 , so I gave him an entire parts unit to get it from too.

After finding a Smith-Corona Coronet 12 at a curb-side (in Winter while walking the dog) I carried it home; after it thawed out and started coming back to life I was hooked. My interest in this hobby lead to taking two parts typewriters to create one good unit. This typewriter aliment is (pretty much) in-curable!
