Description:
I got this 1903 Oliver 3 in the spring of 2016 in Philadelphia, and it took me two years to get around to disassembling and fixing it up. According to the previous owner, it was used in a Philadelphia dentist's office, and then later was used as a door stop... outside. It took quite a while, but I just barely returned it to functionality, as can be seen from the typeface specimen, even in lieu of an F key.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Oliver 3 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Oliver Serial Number page and the Oliver 3 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
