Description:
Another work in progress from the Bob Aubert collection of Delran, NJ (August, 2023). The base unit of this Oliver 2 is in pretty decent shape, but the entire carriage needs to be reassembled. But it looks like Bob had made good progress on it, despite being in pieces. The rubber on the platen and feed rollers are new, the ribbon-spool lids and paper table look to be newly machined and primed, and in his collection were a number of screen-printing screens, including one for an Oliver 2. So I'll hope to be printing it on the paper table at one point.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Oliver 2 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Oliver Serial Number page and the Oliver 2 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
