Description:
So I bought this from a friend who loves old technology, but not typewriters.
I was made a lot earlier than I thought. According to this, it was one of the first thousand!
It works well enough, but I have as yet put in a ribbon. As with all these old machines, it uses the one inch ribbon, which I have, but just haven't yet rewound it.
Laziness....
I absolutely love the double keyboard. Such a cool look.

I am a typewriter collector. I'm moving into a new phase; one where I am filling gaps and paying what's necessary to get what I want....
I know I take crappy photos. I just have an older iPhone and am impatient. When I get a real camera (or borrow one), I'll upload better ones.
The ironic thing is that I am a pretty good amateur photographer. My excuse is that I work in film almost exclusively....
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Smith Premier 2 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Smith Premier Serial Number page and the Smith Premier 2 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
