Description:
I know, this peobably doesn’t qualify as ”a typewriter” in the strict sense, as it is basically a keyboard-printer -combo. But still probably interesting if you want to decipher the Brother serial number types.
The printer uses standard Brother daisy wheels, but the cartridge is larger Gr154C / 2696 SC type.
There is a 25-pin serial port in addition to the keyboard port, which is narrow Centronics type. No idea what the dip switches do.
The printer currently does not print, the hammer is lazy and while it does move a bit it does not hit the daisy wheel.
This was probably sold in Finland as it has a local sticker, but both the daisy wheel and they keyboard are US or International with no scandinavian characters.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Brother HR-15 KB-50 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Brother Serial Number page and the Brother HR-15 KB-50 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
