Description:
Another given number is S-2102528 (sticker).
The Hercules 100 is an export variant from the so-called "Model 100". Developed and manufactures by Flying Fish in the 1970s it was called Flying Fish PSQ and renamed in the 1980s Hero 110 (and probably produced in another factory).
The body is a copy of Adler Tippa 1 and the carriage is copied from the Olympia Traveller.
Currently three "types" of serial numbers are known. Some of them with selling dates.
First production, called Flying Fish:
#99.700 (1979) and #165.300 (1985)
probably second production, Hero:
#22621936 (this machine)
#33756698
probably third and last production, could be manufactured by Chee May (according to Uwe Wachtendorf). This production is most probably later. The #44.521 has cross screws (Phillips cross screws) and this machine has slot crews, so it is most probably older.
#44521

Typewriter collector from Germany. I collect all brands, but like Olivetti the most. I'm not that type of collector that buys the most expensive, old or rare pieces. I love and collect typewriters because it was an everyday product millions of people used. Much of them are well-made and were so expensive for there pre-owner – now, people want not to throw them away, but they don't want them anymore – and so, there are ridiculous cheap. When I see a typewriter, standing around and being so cheap, I cannot abandon it. (I hope my english is at least understandable, feel free to correct me).
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Hercules (Flying Fish/KOFA) 100 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Hercules (Flying Fish/KOFA) Serial Number page and the Hercules (Flying Fish/KOFA) 100 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
