I'm Jim from Oregon. My growing typewriter collection numbers 18 machines, which will likely be an obsolete number shortly after I post this. I'm particularly fond of Smith-Coronas. I know - not the most sought after by collectors - but my machines are meant to be used and loved. Of course, I wouldn't turn down a rare machine if it dropped into my lap, but I don't seek them out. Mundane, common workhorses are good enough for me. I do have a 1948 Royal QDL in pristine condition. My wife has a 1915 Royal 10 that we are working on together to restore. It's almost finished - just needs a platen recover to be fully functional.
