I got into typewriters because of the anime Violet Evergarden which follows former child soldier Violet Evergarden as she writes letters for others in an effort to understand the last words her caretaker and commanding officer told her "I love you". The typewriter she uses is based on the model B Underwood Portable 4 Bank, and subsequently, my very first typewriter (though mine's a model D).
I am always seeking out places I can find typewriters or scouring the internet looking for my dream typewriter. I have quite the soft spot for Underwoods, but I love seeing all different kinds of typewriters like the upstrike typewriters, wide-carriage typewriters, and even music notation typewriters!
