I'm a freelance writer and intermittent perpetual novel starter. My 1935 Underwood just wasn't practical for actually writing and trying to get work done on the computer just turned into a timesuck. So I got a new/old electric typer just like I had in high school ... now, a whole (still growing ) collection later, I'm spending more time on the interwebs looking at typewriters than I do actually using them. So it goes.
