Description:
Russian keyboard
Pica type
This was made in 1999, as the date on the back of the typewriter reads. It's a clone of a Robotron made in Russia. I own one made in 1991 while it was still the USSR. The manual dates to 1993.
So the long-lived Robotron design lasted even longer than we previously knew, even if it isn't in a very good quality form!
This is an ebay sighting, though I think it is significant enough to warrant inclusion here.

I started collecting typewriters in 2006, but what started it all was using my mother's Brother Student-Riter XL1 in 2004. The next year I received my grandma's Smith-Corona Silent, which was enough to hold me over for a little while but eventually led to an obsession with manual portable typewriters.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Lyubava Любава on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Lyubava Serial Number page and the Lyubava Любава By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
