1994 Remagg 226 1 Serial # 801.836? 1994 Remagg 226 1 typewriter, Serial # 801.836? Milan Berta's 1994 Remagg 226 1 typewriter. 2022-07-15 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Milan Berta: 1994 Remagg 226 1 Serial # 801.836? In the late 1980s, Zbrojovka Brno produced Consul typewriters in its plant Zbrojovka Vyškov, s.r.o. with registered office at Sochorova street, Vyškov, Czech Republic
That manufacturer disappeared on January 1, 1993 through privatization and division into several smaller companies. The production of typewriters was taken over by REMAGG Brno, spol. s r.o., Vyškov, Sochorova 592, 682 01 Vyškov, which was officially established on March 12, 1993, and after about 2.5 years on August 2, 1995, ended its activity. The only model I have been able to identify is model 226.1, which again confirms that it is a successor to the Consul typewriter.
In addition to this manual model, the company also produced electric typewriters under the name Consulta.
I couldn't find the model number or the serial number on the typewriter. The only label I found stuck on the frame, you can see in the picture.
The plastic cover of the carriage is missing, Slovak keyboard. I donated the typewriter to a public library that organizes typing classes for children.

Historical typewriters, cameras, sewing machines, ... - all beautiful things, that work only on the basis of human skill and ability. Therefore, they deserve our attention and respect. I do not want to let those inventions that pushed us forward much faster than we were prepared, them disappear in this way.

Lives in Michalovce, Slovakia. Proud father of two children. Started collecting in March 2020. More a hunter than a collector or restorer. But determined to change it and bring the machines to a new life. Thank you in advance for any of your advice and help. (English is not my strong side, so I use Uncle Google's help. Correct me anytime).
