Found another one of these this great typewriters, this time locally in Sittsville, Ontario. One lady owner was gifted it for Christmas by her then fiancé for typing her thesis.
Made in the USA (unlike my Canadian French model that was made in Japan) . The keys are labeled with words, not pictograms. This model was also sold under the model number AX-550 in other markets.
This is the fully featured model with a 40 by 2 caracters LCD display, a speller check and 23 kilobytes of memory, enough for 10 pages or more of text. Selectable pitch of 10, 12 and, 15 cpi. Advanced correcting function keeping the full current line of caracters in memory.
Luckily, the lengthy English manual was included in the sale :)
It weighs 4.61 kg.

Bonjour! I am from the region of Montreal, Quebec and moved to Ottawa, Ontario in 1992.
Amateur watchmaker and machinist, I love anything mechanical, hydraulic or electric. I have restored American and Canadian clocks and small lathes, milling machines and a jig bore.
Most of my typewriters have French Canadian QWERTY keyboards, with some exception for rare finds.
