Hi there!
My name is Freya, and I’m descended from a long line of Swedish peasants and farmhands - which means that I was raised to work hard, to respect mother Earth, and (most importantly) to hoard everything I could get my grubby little hands on. This has led to me collecting many different things throughout my life, but my interest in typewriters probably began when I started studying literature at uni a few years ago.
I found my first one, a Facit Privat, in really bad condition at a flea market and bought it for basically nothing - and after teaching myself how to fix it, the collection has now grown into the double digits! I’m currently just waiting until my spouse and I move into our new apartment so that I’ll have room for a dedicated workshop where I can keep them all organised and safe from cat hair . . . (:
