Description:
Didn't know that Smith-Corona made single element portables. Turns out that it's a re-branding of an Olivetti. What a curious little machine it is though! Doubt I'll ever get it working, but it's just fun to own out of the sheer oddity that it is.

College age collector from New Jersey. Struggling to keep my collection under 30 machines. Started with this hobby back in 2014 when I was a freshman in high school, and it has led me all across the spectrum of machine repair from telephones to tape machines. I always end up coming back to typewriters though, can't keep me from returning to my roots.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Smith Corona Intrepid on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Smith Corona Serial Number page and the Smith Corona Intrepid By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
