Thrift shop find.
Working well as found.
Cleaned platen.
Elite 12 with US keys, the upper right key changed to "happy face/sad face"
Another sticker on bottom seems to be date code GA39947
January 2023 replaced the 'happy/sad face' replaceable key +/= as standard factory issue
The plus and equal symbols are more useful to me, as this machine is my main workhorse.
Some motor drive noise has been reduced with careful application of light oil, very quiet now.
Note that this machine has a nice paper injector. However, the alignment of a newly started page is sensitive to how the paper is placed into the carriage. Often the alignment must be manually adjusted after using the injector. It is still very convenient and slick.
