Description:
Gifted to me as a "combat" typewriter, this is another plastic but fantastic little typer. A superb action producing a beautiful imprint and a surprisingly acceptable sound. It reminded me of my old Silver Reed only far less clanky and also, this has tons of character. I find it rather pretty in an Etch-a-sketch design (no curves at all) kind of way. Really good for touch typing; you can gather quite a speed on this. If you see one of these going for toffees on eBay or at a flea market, treat yourself. You could easily do a lot worse. Thank you, Paul, this one's a keeper . . . I know it's going to get a lot of use.
** Update. I just had a session with my 1959 Hermes 2000 and my 1971 Hermes 3000 (what machines the pair of them!) Then I took the Maritsa off the shelf and had a go. The penny dropped. This Maritsa has a real Hermes touch about it.

Relatively new to the hobby - My first machine was an Everest Mod 90 that I bought after watching a Violet Evergarden anime in December 2021.
My collection now consists of 40 machines. Nice round number. Time to stop I reckon. . .
My absolute favourite remains (just) my 1939 Royal KMM. For me, it's both the prettiest and the "warmest" to type on. It has "Majik" (with a nod to Sandy1)
I count my blessings that I am lucky enough to have amassed such a beautiful bunch.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Maritsa 30 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Maritsa Serial Number page and the Maritsa 30 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
