198x Canon Typestar 6 Serial # G82018339 198x Canon Typestar 6 typewriter, Serial # G82018339 Noel Charchuk's 198x Canon Typestar 6 typewriter. 2018-07-22 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Noel Charchuk: 198x Canon Typestar 6 Serial # G82018339 On the box, and on the label on the bottom this is designated as a Typestar 6 II. This typewriter has 2048 character memory, and comes as a Courier 10 typeface.
It has the the slot for the Typestyle cartridges which allows a further 5 typefaces.
This version had no cover/carry case offered.
It can print with the ribbon cassette on plain paper or with the ribbon removed on thermal fax paper. I was fortunate to get one with a nearly new ribbon and eight more cassettes unused in their original packing.
It also has the AC current adapter but works quite well with 4 D size 1.5 V batteries inserted.

I have owned and used typewriters since I was 12 years old, I bought an Olivetti Lettera 32 from the Sears catalog with money earned unloading a freight truck in the small town I lived in then.
The last machine I bought new was an Adler Tippa with cursive typeface, in 1980.
