Description:
I see many of these Nakajima Olympia electrics going for cheap. They almost certainly will have a melted drive belt. This can be replaced with a large O ring with about a 4" ID and it becomes a blazing fast typer again. This is the Amazon title of the O ring I recommend: 242 Viton O-Ring, 90A Durometer, Round, Black, 4" ID, 4-1/4" OD, 1/8" Width (Pack of 5). The first ring I bought was a little large so I cut it shorter and super glued it back together, then used some heat shrink tubing over bonded area. It's working great so far.
