Description:
Excellent build quality for its era. Although the typing action isn’t heavy, typing on this machine is tiring after a while.
Notice that the alignment guides have a uniform design (probably to save costs).
I wasn’t impressed by the body design at first, but after a while it started to grow on me. The design is unobtrusive, yet it has its own personality because it’s both rounded and angular.

I live in The Netherlands.
Most common typewriter brands over here are Triumph/Adler, Olympia, Erika, Olivetti, Remington and Brother.
I collect and restore typewriters to learn about their design and to write with them.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Erika 34 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Erika Serial Number page and the Erika 34 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
