Description:
Because of the yellowed body I wasn’t particularly interested in this machine and almost walked past it. Luckily I decided to check the types.
I find the Venezia the most beautiful italic typewriter typeface I know of. Note the old style figures, the design of the ampersand, v, w and y and the many details, like the tail of the Q and the swash on the J.
Tip: disconnect the spring below the right ribbon drive for a somewhat lighter touch.

I live in The Netherlands.
Most common typewriter brands over here are Triumph/Adler, Olympia, Erika, Olivetti, Remington and Brother.
I collect and restore typewriters to learn about their design and to write with them.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Erika 155 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Erika Serial Number page and the Erika 155 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
