Description:
The Gabriele Inkwriter was the successor model to the Gabriele PFS. In terms of design, based on the Gabriele 110 models, it also had a 14-line LC display with background lighting (from the times when electronic typewriters were fighting against the new personal computers) and a drive for 3.5 ″ disks (which in this example has the Tutorial disk).
In contrast to the compact typewriters, the printing unit used was an inkjet printing unit taken over from the parent company Olivetti. The processor used was an NEC V55PI.
It uses ink cartridges supplied by Olivetti (luckily I have several cartridges, knowing they are nowadays scarce as hen's teeth).
When you put the power ON, the display runs a legend: "Power On. Diagnostic is running. Please wait"
After two minutes of waiting, program options appear on the display, Not a touch-operated display, you need to press the keyboard figures in order to choose your prefered option.
