Something odd I found on this machine was a carriage shift, normally they had them on machines pre 40s or so, so for 1984 to have a carriage shifting typewriter is definitely odd, works well though.
Also I love this keyboard, it feels like a mechanical computer keyboard.

OMG I hit the motherload of information. apparently the serial number 3LRU451958 correlates with a production of 1984. I also while doing research found a Deville XT with the same body style as the Electra XT being sold in 1987.
