Description:
3rd generation of the JP-1. All metal except for the plastic carriage cover. Acquired in Thrift Store. Not expecting much but this is a surprisingly good for an ultra-portable. Pica typeface. Only minor imperfections. Came with the notorious correcting ribbon and it was an ordeal to clean those white particles out. A no-frills simple typewriter that is well built and I suspect is very reliable. Is missing a dampening wire spring in front of the vibrator that so far, I have not noticed any ill effects.

Retired. Have been a Photography geek for many years...old school film. Also have been an audiophile and have been collecting vinyl before it became fashionable. Accidently(?) began collecting typewriters in the early1980's...I had four by 2006. After I inherited my mothers Hermes 3000 in 2017 my interest really took off and now I have 28 typewriters in total. The majority of my collection are Smith Corona's largely because they are plentiful, easy to work on and are very good typers.
