Description:
Purchased at a thrift shop for somewhat high $35 this machine is full of little mechanical quirks and strange noises, margin lights flickering, clatters and wheezes. It might be haunted. I haven't stripped the foam out and do not intend to, if a better Selectric III comes along this one is gone. It does work though, and I need it for all the cool typeballs I have for it!
Motor sticker dates it to December 1981, maintenance paperwork says it was installed July 7, 1982... it actually had a birthday today of all days!
