Description:
The little sister of Remington 25, the difference is no tabulator and comes in a other cool cream-tangerine combination. Also available in cream-coffee.
Bought by my girlfriend in our Covid's little world (aka near home), by Marketplace in "as this" condition but very cheapy. Because my Erikas could not types the complete Portuguese accentuation, she needed a Brazilian Portuguese machine.
Had lucky, the seller in complete ignorance says the typical failures like "sticky carriage" when only did not know to unlock. Once the carriage released we discovered wich was in great working order, after a little cleaning (previously bathed in alcohol, haha), removing several Typex stains from platen and naturally, the ribbon was dry.
I took less than 5 minutes to know the (newer for me) Remington ring spool system. In our limited movements of that time, i went to the nearest stationery and there was no typewriter ribbon. Because the ring spool just needs a bare ribbon, i bought the available calculator ribbon and i worked out.
Common in these Brazilian Remingtons, have a Pica Techno 10 cpi.
EDIT: was swapped in 11/22. The girl who had it gave it to my girlfriend in 07/24, she doesn't know if will keep it

A tipically 80's Cold-War boy. Brazilian born in exile, with the time i was interested with my homeland, GDR and the Eastern Bloc technologies, but didn't have old enough to live this. I grown up with computers and never had more than marginal contact with typewriters in my childhood, my passion was growing along with mine Ostalgie and started my collection sometime ago when withdrew my father's older Erika from its long letargy.
Since 2023 i'm a Right student, in path to be a lawyer and that re-inforces my passion with typeriters. I prefer the 80's portable models.
I will try to get information about the world of Brazilian typewriters, mostly not known outside South America.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Remington 15 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Remington Serial Number page and the Remington 15 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
