Description:
My intention was to get a Royal Mercury like Joe Van Cleave's machine. In my country you don't usually see those machines, so I started to see the Silverette and ended up finding this machine. It is equal to the Silverette of the last years. The state of the machine was impeccable, the owner used it a little and somehow tangled the cable of the carriage. Apparently he kept it in the box and never used it again. It has all the original packaging and even the wrapping paper from the store where it was purchased. It works perfect.
In Argentina several models were sold under that brand Damye, all Japanese machines. Damye 7500, Damye 5050, Damye 3013Cr (electric).

I own a few typewriters, too few to consider myself a collector. I intend to photograph them and upload them to typewiterdatabase.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Damye (Silver Seiko) 309 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Damye (Silver Seiko) Serial Number page and the Damye (Silver Seiko) 309 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
