I took it home and cleaned it up, then my girlfriend noticed that it was made in Nagoya, where she had been, on a trip to Japan some time ago. I gave it to her, but I'm the one who use it the most. I cleaned it today and when I took the bottom cover off, a white plastic chip fell out. I'm not sure if it was dropped in it by accident or if it's supposed to be in there, because it was wedged between the bottom cover and the frame. I forgot to put the chip back in the machine when I reassembled it, but it didn't really affect the performance of the machine, so I guess I'll leave it out.
