Description:
Pica 10 cpi pitch typeface.
I had been wanting a smaller SCM manual for some time; I don't need a full-size Classic 12 with a 12-inch platen all the time. This smaller one came up locally with a French Canadian keyboard. As a bonus, it has original SCM metal spools. I wonder if the ribbon is still the original one...
It is made in Canada and consequently, the serial numbers do not match the ones from the same model made in the USA.

Bonjour! I am from the region of Montreal, Quebec and moved to Ottawa, Ontario in 1992.
Amateur watchmaker and machinist, I love anything mechanical, hydraulic or electric. I have restored American and Canadian clocks and small lathes, milling machines and a jig bore.
Most of my typewriters have French Canadian QWERTY keyboards, with some exception for rare finds.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Smith Corona Super Sterling on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Smith Corona Serial Number page and the Smith Corona Super Sterling By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
