Description:
Model 8E on tag, date code SC01237
Shell design resembles coronamatics but uses standard spools, black ribbon top half with correcting white on bottom
The model has a platen with actual rubber width 11 1/2 inches.
Slugs cast mark 664, looks like Pica 10 cpi
There is another 8E model called 'executive correct" that looks identical to this model.
The Coronamatic 2200 has serial numbers with 8ELE prefix.
Guess the 'super correct xt' was sold at the same time for those buyers that did not want the SCM cartridge.
Standard ribbons with 2 inch spools fit and work well. The vibrator ribbon holder is flexible spring clip instead of the fingers.
Start install at top and push down onto the clip with pressure
Little wear, good drive belt, types very well

Retired to the quiet of rural Nebraska to contemplate nature.
Typing down thoughts, prefer that to handwriting.
Not really a collector, just like to tinker on mechanical things.
