A nice, solid electric. I have only had it for a week but it has already earned a spot on my desk for those moments I just don't feel like using a manual. It is a solid and reliable typer, and prints very well.
$15 in an antique store, already had good ribbon in it.
Those of you that doubt these sober SCM Electrics just need to give them a shot.. they're very nice to use, actually.

I'd like to add that this is actually a very well manufactured typewriter for when it was made. Solid metal and minimal plastic where it counts.
